Ranka, Alto, and Sheryl are forced to consider each other's feelings when the Frontier fleet produces a movie remake of Macross Zero.

The sparring between Alto and Michael comes to a head when Michael nearly hits Alto's Valkyrie with friendly fire. Meanwhile, the mysterious purple Valkyrie makes a new appearance.

Ranka is starting to get work as a singer, but most of her jobs so far are minor or embarrassing. When she manages to transfer to Alto's school, her day that was looking up is suddenly tarnished by the arival of the Galatic Fairy Sheryl Nome.

Sheryl struggles with her emotions during her live concert while Alto and the rest of the SMS wage a desprate battle to save a pair of ships from the Galaxy fleet.

Ranka has finally gotten her first big break as a singer, but her excitment is quickly overshadowed by the news of the Vajra's attack on the Macross Galaxy Fleet.

Sheryl drags Alto all over Frontier looking for her lost earring while Ranka continues to assert herself with regards to her singing.

Alto and Ranka pursue their dreams but find out not everything worth doing is necessarily easy. In the end, both see some sucess but still have a long way to go.

Alto, Ranka, and Sheryl narrowly avoid disaster as the Vajra resume their attack. Later, Alto learns more about Ranka's past while Ranka makes a move to better her future.

Alto does his best to rescue Ranka from the attacking Vajra before Ozma and Michael are able to put an end to the battle. Later, Ranka meets one of her heroes: Sheryl Nome!

A third of Mara Sov's Awoken depart the Reef in order to help the people of Earth. Meanwhile, Sjur sacrifices herself to save thousand of Awowken lives.
